The Osoyoos Farmers' Market is currently looking to fill 2 positions for the 2023 season!
MARKET MANAGER: The Market Manager Position requires an outgoing personality and is essential to the smooth running of our weekly market.
Reporting to the Board Of Directors, the Manager is required to be on site every Saturday during the season (May 6 - October 7, 2023) between the hours of 7.30 - 1.30 - rain or shine.
Duties include: setting up the market site and tent. Assisting vendors with their placement as they arrive. Manage vendor vehicle traffic as they unload and load. Placing signage, flags and promotional Market Material in the surrounding area. Collecting fees from participating vendors as required and keeping an accurate record of each transaction.
Assisting musicians with equipment and setting up the market sound system. Assisting the public with enquires and customer service. Site security and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for our vendors and visitors alike. Able to manage conflict resolution.
First Aid Certificate an advantage. Must be able to lift heavy signs and sandbags. Must be able to drive and have experience pulling and parking a trailer.
Must be comfortable working outside in hot temperatures.
MARKET HOST: The Market Host is there to help assist the Manager as required, greet customers as they arrive to the market, manage the market tent and answer questions from visitors, hand out brochure's and maps. Assist vendors as required. The Market Host is required to work Mid June - Mid September 8.30 - 1.30 during the season (May 6 - October 7, 2023) rain or shine. First Aid certificate an advantage. Knowledge of Osoyoos and surrounding area an advantage. Must be comfortable working outside in hot temperatures.

We are a volunteer society, and all products sold by our vendors are made local and grown local, so you can buy local. This includes a variety of artisan crafts, local fruits and vegetables, baked goods and wine/cider/beer/spirits.
